This policy describes the standards VersePoint holds itself to when publishing songwriting education content.

What we publish

VersePoint publishes original, craft-focused educational content about songwriting: structure, melody, harmony, rhythm, lyrics, arrangement, revision, and collaboration. We write for beginners and early-intermediate songwriters and avoid jargon we haven't defined.

Originality and copyright

We do not reproduce song lyrics, sheet music, or audio from existing recordings, and we do not use artist photography or album artwork without a documented license. Every illustrative example — lyric fragments, chord progressions, scenarios — is written specifically for this site.

No guarantees

We do not present any technique, structure, or exercise as a guarantee of commercial or artistic success. Craft can be practiced and improved; it is not a formula.

Independence

VersePoint does not currently run advertising or sponsored content. If that changes, this page will be updated to disclose how it affects editorial decisions, and sponsored material (if any) will always be clearly labeled.

Review and updates

Articles are periodically reviewed for clarity and accuracy. Each article displays its original publish date and most recent update date.

Corrections

We maintain a public corrections page and welcome reports of factual errors via our contact page.
